Goji berries are a small fruit with a great impact to your health! They are a tropical antioxidant that can be found at your local health food store. Chinese medicine has been using these little powerhouses over the last few centuries for their anti-inflammtory action and liver support. I think we could all give our liver a little more love, don't you think?
Not only do they love your liver, they have been reported in studies to improve your eyesight by protecting your peepers against glaucoma and macular degeneration AND if that wasn't enough, they have anti-aging properties.
What can you do with goji berries?
These sweet little gems can be sprinkled on your oatmeal or salad at lunch, or in your organic yogurt cup as your afternoon snack! Aim to eat about 10 to 30 grams per day, which is a small handful.
Make sure you are purchasing an organically certified product to avoid pesticides. The image below shows what they look like dried, when you purchase them. Yuuuuuummmmmmmmy!
Eat well | Live well | Be well!

ReplyThank you for reading Jack and your compliment. Have a wonderful day!
So I bought goji berries and am ready to make your superfood chocolate bark. Do I re-hydrate the berries before I use them?? They seem pretty crunchy as they are. Thanks!
ReplyHi Kate! You can if you want to, but you don't have to. The moisture in the chocolate helps to rehydrate them a bit. They won't be totally mushy though unless you do in fact rehydrate them.
