I purchased ‘The Works’ package that includes all of the personal care products, as well as the spoonking mat and the body brush and I could not be happier with my purchases, and with the wonderful customer service I received from the Joyous Health team. I ordered the mat as a Christmas gift for my mom, but decided to order the products for myself because I’m trying to make the change over to all natural products, which I’m sure you all know isn’t the easiest thing to do. I am a follower of Joy and love to try her recipes etc., so I was extremely excited to try the products. I was not disappointed. The body butter and the deodorant are my absolute favourites with the lip balm coming in at a very close third. The toothpaste works well, but if you aren’t someone who uses baking soda in your dental care routine regularly, it will take some getting used to at first.
As I said before, I ordered the whole package together but unfortunately the mat and brush didn’t come through with the products. I waited a couple of days but as it’s getting close to Christmas, I started to panic. I emailed Joyous Health this morning explaining that I hadn’t yet received the brush and mat, both of which are gifts so it was fairly urgent that I received them asap. Within minutes of sending the email, I had two replies from the company! A company representative assured me that he was looking into the issue but that in the meantime, a mat and brush were being couriered to me immediately and I would (and did) receive them this afternoon to be sure I had them to give on Christmas.
Needless to say, I am extremely impressed by the Joyous Health team! The products are amazing and the customer service was phenomenal. If you’re on the fence about purchasing any of these products, I genuinely hope I’ve persuaded you to give them a try because this company is definitely worth buying into.

As a fellow nutritionist and natural beauty junkie myself, I have extremely high standards for not just the food I eat but also for the products I use on my skin, hair, etc. Joy’s approach to beauty and health is very aligned with mine, so when I heard that she was in the process of creating her own line of natural beauty products I knew I had to try them. Having had a few days to try all four of the products out (the lip balm, body butta, toothpaste, and natural deodorant), I can safely say that they’re all amazing and do exactly what they claim to!
To be honest, I was a little skeptical that her natural deodorant would work. I’ve tried so many natural deodorants over the years and all have failed me. But hers works! I mean…like really works. The body butta leaves my skin luxuriously soft and glowy (but not greasy at all), the lip balm leaves my lips feeling great and the toothpaste doesn’t dry out the corners of my mouth like many natural and non-natural foaming toothpastes .
I hope Joy will expand her line to include other beauty products over the upcoming year!

I received my personal care essentials today and i am so impressed! I feel so thankful that joy has shared these products with everyone. My absolute favorite product is the Minty Fresh toothpaste!! It makes my mouth feel so clean as if I had a cleaning at the dentist. I am so stoked that I keep running to my bathroom for the smooth like butta and love the non greasy feeling…also I must add that the lemon deoterant is incredible as well!! It really really works and I have tried numerous natural deoterants…the texture is amazing and was not runny or greasy and at the end of today i had zero body odor so I was highly pleased with that product as well. The lip balm is luxurious and left my lips feeling supple and soft. I have to also add in that I brushed my teeth with the Minty fresh toothpaste and my mom immediately said “wow your teeth look so white! what did you do?” And her jaw dropped it was so finny! So i let her try it and she loved it too!!! I am committed to these products now and just can’t wait to share with family and friends! Thank you Joy. You rock! In recent years I have become very interested in healthy living and have been searching for products that are environmentally conscious, effective and good for my body. After having tried some other natural products (deodorants and toothpastes) I think I have finally hit the jackpot with the Joyous Essentials.
My products arrived promptly (and before Xmas at that!), with a lovely carry bag and note from Joy herself (BONUS). I immediately tried the deodorant as I was heading to a bootcamp class. I’m happy to report that the deodorant passed the “sweat” test with flying colours…a first for me and natural deodorants.
I have now tried all the products and am really, really pleased with all of them. Like some posts above, if you aren’t familiar with the taste of baking soda in your toothpaste it is definitely a change. In my opinion, the benefits of using a product that is non toxic far outweigh the lack of foam and baking soda taste.
The body butta is luxurious and you don’t need a lot to spread over your entire body. I can see an obsession growing with that gem. Having already become a fan of the skin brush (from listening to Joy’s youtube videos), this is a great compliment to the post skin brush and shower routine.
I think my favourite part of all of these products is the fact that they are all natural and non-toxic. It’s nice to know that we can get results using non-toxic and body friendly products.
I have nothing but positive comments to share about each of the products offered by Joy and see many re-orders in my future.
I’d love for Joy to create more products like face wash, moisturizer etc. ;-)

I purchased the Essential Personal Care package and so far I’ve tried the toothpaste and the lip balm. I really LOVE the taste of the toothpaste. Would love to see another flavour of lip balm down the road…:))))
I’m excited to try the smooth like butta body cream and I love the smell of the lemon deodorant…..The packaging is lovely and I think it’s a nice touch that I received a personal note from Joy and a free tote bag….:) I’m sure I’ll be ordering more in the future…:)

I ordered the essential care package just prior to Christmas and just love love love them.
They deliver fab results with out any of those pesky chemicals, what a relief. Finding fab, affordable and effective natural products has been somewhat of a mission ( and really shouldn’t be) so I am so thrilled that Joy’s products are delivering across the board. I will be recommending them to everyone. Ordering and delivery was easy peasy.
I look forward to the development of additional products,toners,face moisturizers and wash, some make up products would be great too.

Hi Joy, I’m on round two of your beauty essentials package and loving the products. I was just wondering what the shelf life is for them? I tend to use the toothpaste and body butta the most and not as much of the deodorant as I thought. Just want to make sure it’s lasts a while as I keep on purchasing….-:)))

I recently bought Joy’s beauty essentials package and I went right back and bough two more! I just had to give one to my sister:) In all honestly I have searched forever for a good, clean, efficent deodorant to no avail. Not willing to give up, I tried Joy’s and it works! I am so happy with the butter too. I feel safe now using her toothpaste and the lip balm is truly moisturizing. Highly recommended line of beauty care….looking forward to more!

I was at Chapters Indigo last week and I bought the Joyous Health’s book because I was trying to find a book that helps me to be more healthy. When I saw the book, I was completely attracted by the title on the cover. Since I read the first pages, I TOTALLY love how Joy introduces her book with tips, recipes. So I was curious about her paths, why she decided to write a book, because I didn’t know her before I bought her book last week. It was how I found the Joyous Health website, about the programs, products, recipes… Joy McCarthy really inspires me to eat and live well. I hope that her natural beauty line will expanded with more products, like shampoo/conditionner, makeup, candles, perfumes, etc…
I highly recommend all the « Joyous Health » products, worth the money..TOTALLY :)

I bought the essentials package several weeks ago, and I am hooked on all of the products included! The deodorant actually works, which I was so pleased with as I haven’t had much luck with other natural deodorants. Either they irritated my skin, or simply didn’t work. I am so excited about the toothpaste as well, it really does leave my mouth minty fresh and feels very effective. I’ve been searching for a toothpaste that isn’t loaded with junky ingredients, but that actually works – and this is it! But probably my favorite is the body butter – it smells heavenly, applies and absorbs so nicely, and my skin feels great. Thank you Joy for making these fantastic products, you really knocked it out of the park!

I recently purchased the Body Butter, Lip Balm and Deodorant and have to say I am thrilled. I keep sniffing under my arms as I still can’t believe the deodorant works…I’ve tried others and usually by the end of the day things aren’t so great. The body butter is wonderful, not greasy and skin feels smooth for hours. As for the lip balm…I’ve tried others and usually within 20-30 minutes there is no sign of it left on my lips and they feel as dry as ever..not the case here…a couple of hours and lips still feel soft. I will be a regular purchaser!
I wanted to try the toothpaste but was a little leery as my teeth are super sensitive…I’ve had some loss of enamel and there is a bit of root exposure as well on some teeth. I’m concerned that the baking soda may not help mattersy? Any thoughts or feedback on this would be appreciated.

Smooth Like Butta Body Butter – is actually The best purchase I’ve made in 2015, no doubts! My skin feel amazingly soft. The smell is so good I want to eat it with a spoon. Does not leave you feeling sticky or oily. Its great.
The only thing that did not work for me was the tooth paste. I used it for 2 days and on the 3rd day woke up with sore gums/cuts. Im not too sure what may have caused it but I will give it another try once they heal.
