I love checking out what people buy at the grocery store when I'm waiting in line - yes, I'm curious as a cat. Most people's grocery carts are not decorated with colour. Unfortunately, I see beige, brown and lots of white. If there is any colour, then most of it comes from the packaging. Don't be fooled! If your plate is beige, white and otherwise boring most days of the week, then your meal needs a serious makeover not just for the sheer superficial potential beauty of food, but for the sake of nutrition. If your plate looks drab, then you may feel drab too. My tip for today is fabulously simple.
Vibrant colour on your plate means vibrant health.
Food that is rich with colour is more often then not rich with nutrients such as antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Antioxidants literally GIVE food their rich colour. Colour your plate with some of the colours below for vibrant health!
