Viagra was one of the quickest selling drugs of all time. More than 10 million men have taken more than 125 million tablets of viagra. Something is not right here and clearly men are having challenges in the bedroom. What if there were foods without the negative side effects of chemical drugs that could improve your sex life? And what about women's sex drive? Did you know that an estimated 40% of women complain of low sex drive. And it's probably higher, because most women won't admit it.

I've got good news for you because there are plenty of foods in your supermarket that will improve the quality of your sex life. The side effects are that they will improve your overall health too! The foods we eat have a significant impact on our mood and enjoying an active sex life is absolutely essential to our well-being. It's no coincidence that your skin improves when you are sexually active. Your stress hormones are lower and your feel-good hormones increase. Here are the top libido-driving foods to add to your grocery cart:

Goji Berries

Testosterone is important for sex drive in BOTH men and women. In Asia, it's a well known fact that goji berries increase testosterone levels, which stimulates sex drive. Goji berries are a source of antioxidants, improve mood and stamina which are both important for a great sex life.

Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds contain zinc, which is vital for testosterone (sperm) production in men. For women, a deficiency can result in a complete loss of sex drive. These delicious seeds are also a rich source of omega-3 fat which are essential to overall sexual wellbeing. Sprinkle them on your salad or snack on them when you have a mid-afternoon slump.

Bananas

Forget Viagara, eat a banana every morning! This is a surefire way to boost male libido. Bromelain is an enzyme rich in bananas and vital for sexual health. A source of B vitamins which increase energy and balance the sex hormones.

Garlic

Viagra works by increasing the blood flow in men, which results in an erection. Why not eat garlic instead? Garlic contains high levels of allicin, which improves blood flow to the sexual organs. Just make sure you eat some parsley for fresh breath if you are hoping to get lucky :)

Basil

Of all the herbs, basil is a superstar when it comes to antioxidants. And now there is another reason to love this flavourful herb because it will bring you sexual bliss. It boosts fertility, sex drive and increases circulation.

Maca

Maca is added to everything these days from dark organic chocolate to protein powder. It makes people, especially women, desire sex more frequently. This is most certainly a superfood that can improve stamina and alleviate impotency. It has been shown to increase sperm count and testosterone levels in men too. This is important for couples trying to conceive.

Celery

Have you ever noticed that some people's scent turns you off, while others you can't get enough of? You can thank your hormones for this! Celery boosts androsterone, which is an odorless aphrodisiac in male perspiration.

Avocado

Avocados are an incredible source of "good fat". They help to increase both male and female libido. As well, they give the body sexual energy because they contain very high levels of folic acid.

Bee Pollen

Bees are very sexual insects and pollen's role in nature is to fertize. Pollen has been known to help boost the sperm count. This only makes sense when it is made from millions of particles of a semen-like substance.

Chillies

Chillies are hot and if you want your bedroom to be hot too, then add these to your pasta sauce, salad and homemade salsa. Capsaicin, is the substance that gives chillies their heat. It releases endorphins and feel good hormones to spice up your sex life.

If you are currently taking Viagra, then please READ THIS BLOG about it.
