ReplyYou told me about the Santevia Water Filter Jug - since then all I do is drink lemon water and herbal tea with the Santevia filtered water -NO ALCOHOL at all! I gave up gluten. I eat barely any meat. I also uped my greens...I also started probiotics and digestive enzymes/MSM. I've lost 25 lbs! My skin is at 85% - I had cystic acne, they put me on accutance three times (15-10-5 years ago) Traumatizing, I used to be in front of the camera! So... now I have only 2 spots left! ReplyEvery morning upon rising I enjoy a glass of filtered water with two capfulls of Bragg ACV with the mother. After that I enjoy a fresh green or beet/carrot juice to really kickstart my day. I always bring a baggie of veggies to snack on in the afternoon at work. I also take time during my day to listen to meditative music to calm myself and keep focused.

ReplyThe first thing I do every morning is squeeze half a fresh lemon in warm water to drink on an empty stomach ~ then it's up to my gym for half an hour of HIIT training and 20 min of yoga ~ it invigorates me inside and out:)

ReplyTo promote detoxification on a daily basis, I drink freshly squeezed lemon juice and filtered water first thing on an empty stomach. I use spinach and kale in my morning smoothies and I also eat chia seeds every day...their gelatinous nature helps to bind with toxins in the gut and literally flush them away! lol

ReplyAhhh I love green clay! I use it as a mask all the time, my skin looooves it. I'm a big fan of my lemon water, turmeric, and ginger drink in the morning :) and skin brushing. And loads of water during the day as well! And I load up on herbs, especially cilantro, parsley, and basil. Great giveaway Joy!
ReplyEvery morning, a large glass of water with lemon and ginger, alternating every other day with water and 2 tbs of organic cider vinegar. Once in a while I whip up a blender full of kale, spinach, and fruits I have on hand for a breakfast smoothie.

ReplyI gave up shampoo this summer and only use baking soda to wash my hair. Gotta say, no more dry flaky scalp and my hair looks great! I love the warm lemon water too! I add honey and cinnamon.

I get my daily probiotics from eating traditionally fermented foods. I also eat as much veggies as I can. My go to snacks throughout the day are radishes, carrots and celery with almond butter.
ReplyI will be switching from my homemade chai (which is an indian tea that has milk, sugar and spices) to a green smoothie with celery, kale, spinach, apple, pear, and pineapples (or i might switch it up every few days). This is going to be the hardest switch ever because I love my sugar fix in the mornings but I need to keep this hormonal acne at bay.

ReplyTo detox from inside out daily, I have lemon water in the morning 20 minutes before anything else, add chlorophyll or chlorella to my water or real apple juice, and I make sure I am regular with lots of good fibre!!! :)

In it, I will always have my green vegetables and make a superfood's choice between hemp seeds, chia or flax seeds, spirulina, bee pollen etc. It gets my day going with lots of energy :)
ReplyI drink about 32oz warm water with half lemon juice every morning, I also drinks about 3 oz of wheatgrass juice in the morning, have my smoothies after an hour and more then 80% are veggies daily and about 50% are raw food. I do Gyrotonic, Yoga , Pilates very other day.

ReplyEvery morning before I have breakie I like to drink a full 2 glasses of water, which is so hydrating. I like to include the greens+Organics as well, which is very alkalinizing and detoxifying for the bod. ReplyI usually start my mornings off with hot lemon water at home, and then for the bus rides to work, I have a green smoothie which I prep the night before. My green smoothies usually consist of the following: Collard leaves and/or kale Spinach Cucumber Kiwi Apple and/or grapefruit Lemon 3-6-9 DHA oil 1 scoop of Vega Natural smoothie protein powder Spring water It's incredibly delicious and gives me a nice start to my busy days.. no need for coffee! ;) I also make sure to add lots of greens to my lunch and dinner and drink plenty of water throughout the day. It really is easy being green :) I have to say though, despite having a regular intake of fresh fruits and veggies everyday, and eating very few, or any processed foods, I am still prone to breakouts and dry skin. My hormones are crazy ever since having a baby and it's eeb nearly 2 years! I think a Fall detox will be in order for me soon. Keep up the wonderful blog posts and healthy tips, I love your site! ReplyI'm sharing in hopes that if my name is drawn, I can give the wonderful products to my wife. I'm disabled, and required to take 8 different prescriptions, so I'm aware of the need to detox EVERY day. It starts with 2 glasses of room temp, reverse-osmosis filtered water, then, a bowl of mixed, colourful fruit, esp. black & blue berries, raspberries, strawberries, and mango or banana. Throughout the day, munch on grapes, apples and best of all, watermelon. Red peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers are a must for dinner with protein....it's all a healthy water based flush. Kind egards, this is a great website for facts and inspiration!
ReplyI try to make sure half of everything I eat in a day is produce, veggies at lunch and dinner, fruit for breakfast and snacks. I also drink plenty of water, I really think it makes a difference in my skin.

ReplyHi Joy, In the morning, I usually have lemon and water or ACV if I'm out of lemons. I have also been trying to sweat more often by reintroducing Walker's workouts from the Eat Clean Body Lean program a few months ago! It really helps! I always worry about the products I use for my face/body so I got an organic body scrub with volcanic ash at Whole Foods. It smells wonderful. I made my own toner using ACV with the mother and rose water. It also smells lovely and adds a nice glow in the morning! Apart from that, I try to drink a lot of herbal teas, add spices to my meals, and eat plenty greens! Making my own granola and nut milks have also been fun and taste soooo much better than the store options!

ReplyI drink liquid chlorophyll many days a week, take a probiotic, aim for plenty of water, recently began a kettlebell class (sweat=detox), recently began taking plant enzymes, try to get plenty of sleep, etc. I also just brewed my first batch of kombucha!!!

ReplyI use the think dirty app to think before I buy and product or cosmetic. If it's not clean it stays on the shelf. I juice kale, green apple, ginger and celery at least once a week and eat mostly a veg diet +8 glasses H20 a day.

Ok, besides the usual, and turbo important, suspects of lemon water, dry brushing, probiotics, Vit D, ACV, raw honey and cinnamon, greens, Dandy Blend coffee substitute, turmeric and ginger tea, oddles of water from my rad Santevia water jug, yoga, meditation, and plenty o' deep breathing breaks, I make it a point to add lots of laughter and joy to my day! ReplyI have been trying really hard to take a teaspoon of chlorella everyday but am still finding ways to not gag when I drink it! I've tried it in lemon water but that just about ruined drinking lemon water for me! Next to try is in an avocado and banana smoothie with some cacao powder! Apparently chlorella and cacao go well together! Fingers crossed
ReplyThis is exciting! My daily health regimen is to take my greens+ powder every morning, and I also take 5 minutes per day to breathe deeply and meditate. I find the greens powder keeps me regular (if you know what I mean!), and keeps my skin glowing. Meditation/breathing helps me combat stress and rest better at night.

ReplyI scrape my tongue first thing in the morning, brush my teeth and then drink water with lemon or apple cider vinegar. I've also been juicing more and taking a greens supplement. Now I have to keep cleaning up my diet and clear out all my dirty skin care and makeup!
ReplyBased on the comments here, I think I need to start drinking lemon and water every morning as soon as I wake up! Otherwise, I am mindful to include a lot of vegetables in my diet, drink plenty of water and work out three times a week in an effort to detox my body from the inside.
ReplyI have incorporated coconut oil into my diet, largely as a substitute for butter. I melt it on cooked veggies, sauté onions/garlic/shrimp (or anything) with it, spread it on sandwiches, add a dollop into my morning smoothie, and I even melt it and pour it on air popped popcorn, my favourite snack! Love the taste, and I love that it's a good fat.
