I consulted Sanjana throughout the month of October and November. She did the 3-session Eat Well package which included a 7-day meal plan and recipes. I really loved consulting her because she was so empowered and engaged in her own health. In other words, she came to me ready to be in the driver's seat rather than the back seat. JOY: What were the main changes you made to your diet?
Sanjana: The main changes to my diet included going gluten free, eating a lot more greens, avoiding sugar and refined foods, avoiding cow's milk, drinking coconut milk and almond milk.
JOY: What about lifestyle changes? Did you incorporate any new healthy lifestyle habits?
Sanjana: Not much change in lifestyle as I exercise regularly.
JOY: What were the biggest improvements you experienced in your health?
Sanjana: Biggest improvement was not taking Nexium everyday and getting my acid reflux under control. I have a lot more energy (and sometimes feel like flying!). Although it was not my intention to lose weight when I first came to see you, I have lost 6 pounds in six weeks. I no longer feel bloated and am enjoying delicious foods from your meal plan and blog. I have better digestion overall.
JOY: Anything else you'd like to share?
Sanjana: Food really does affect your mood. When I am eating well, I feel good and that translates into positive energy into other areas in my life. I am better able to deal with stress when my diet is not filled with junk food.
