Welcome to thoughtful, organic beauty
Hello Joyous is an organic, plant-based, sustainable beauty brand here to bring more joy to your day.
I know I've got a yummy smoothie when Vienna says "ooooooh, YUMMY, YUMMY" and Walker says "mmmm, this is realllllly good". And then in less than 5 minute they've both slurped it back! This was the case with this creamy raspberry smoothie. It was hard to get photo because Vienna kept sticking here finger in it.
This recipe is...
I used Genuine Health's organic fermented vegan protein powder. It's the only protein powder that doesn't make me bloated. That's because the plant proteins are fermented which makes them easier to digest.
This protein powder has 7 different organic and fermented plant-based proteins making it an ideal addition to boost the protein in your meal. Vienna thinks the vanilla flavoured protein powder tastes like 'ice cream'.
Here's my recipe for a smoothie that tastes like cheesecake but is good for you too!
*If not using vanilla protein powder, then 1 tsp vanilla extract
Enjoy friends,
Joy xo

Sounds delicious. I’d love to make it for my grandchildren. However they can’t have cashews can I leave them out or is there another option?
ReplyYou could swap out the cashews for another nut like almonds if you like. Or simply omit it and add an avocado for creaminess. Enjoy!
Looks delicious! I don’t have cashews, unless I pick them out of my nut mixture...will almonds work, or do I need a softer nut?
ReplyFor the creaminess, cashews are ideal. But if you use almonds, you could soak them first for about an hour or longer to soften them. You could also add half an avocado for a more creamy texture.
I just made this and am enjoying it as I write. Delicious! I didn't have any protein powder so used pure vanilla extract.
ReplySounds amazing! Glad you love it!
Can you recommend a brand of yogurt please.
ReplyI like Best Baa Farm which is sheep yogurt here in Ontario or Kefir Kult which is a much thinner consistency but it's liquidy.
For someone that has a peanut and tree nut allergy what could I use to replace the cashews?
ReplyYou could simply omit them and add some coconut manna or coconut butter for that creamy texture.
Hey Joy. What can I replace for cashews? Thanks
ReplyYou could use some coconut cream to get the same creaminess or you could use raw walnuts or almonds but you won't get the same creamy texture, unfortunately.
i made it and it was REALLY good. both my toddler boys loved it and even asked for it another day :) I also made it for myself a few times already!
Replyhaha! So glad to hear that!
