JHP07: Raising Healthy Eaters with Dr. Rachel Schwartzman

We interviewed Mom of 3 and naturopathic doctor Rachel Schwartzman on raising healthy eaters! She provides real life strategies for helping your kid's get more nutrients into their little tummies, managing picky eaters and more.

It was such a joy to speak with Rachel Schwartzman and I loved chatting with her about all things kids and family nutrition – a topic I am deeply passionate about (as you may already know!).

Rachel Schwartzman is a licensed naturopathic doctor, birth doula, and mom to three busy kids. She maintains a family-focused naturopathic practice in Toronto (and has just opened a new clinic, which you can learn more about below!), where she works at bringing health and wellness to all. She is also the co-organizer of The Bump to Baby show, Toronto’s first family health show devoted to better family choices.

Whether you’re currently a parent or planning on being one someday, there is something in here for you!

  1. Listened to the podcast and was interested in the comment on infrared sauna. At what age do you think safe to expose a child to A Sauna?

  2. Hi! I love All your podcasts and listen to them daily on my commute to work. I wondered if there are certain brands you recommend for supplements you talk about or the homeopathic remedies? Specifically the sponge one for babies who are sick?

I really like the Boiron brand because you can find it very easily both in-store and online. I’m not sure what the “sponge” one was that you’re talking about?

  4. Thank you! She said it was one to sponge up mucous when they have bad coughs … I will have to try to find it again in there. I will also check out that brand. Thanks so much!
