Do you mean Pure Encapsulations? If so, that’s a great brand! I don’t know “pure lab”, so I can’t comment.

  6. I think Louise means Pure Lab Glycinate Mag. An Ottawa based supplement brand who started with Mag Glycinate as their first supplement. It is a very very good one. https://www.purelabvitamins.com. The founder of the company has some amazing information shared on YouTube.

    Where are the show notes?
Episode 50 is missing on your site

  13. Joy McCarthy

I’m so confused about your question! You are commenting on the show notes from episode 50. Am I missing something? haha.

I loved this episode! So informative! My 10 year old daughter has suffered from headaches especially over this last year. I found the popular kids magnesium formula called Natural Vitality CALM. It has magnesium carbonate and magnesium glycinate. It also has natural flavor in it which I don’t love b I know this is a really popular supplement for kids. What do you think about the magnesium carbonate and is there another magnesium supplement you recommend for children suffering headaches and stress?

  15. Joy McCarthy

If you found something that works I would stick with that! Since she’s 10, I’m guessing the headaches may in part be related to the change in hormones (even if she doesn’t have a period yet). I would recommend ensuring she eats lots of naturally detoxifying foods such a broccoli, cauliflower, kale, etc. Check out the recipes in my second cookbook Joyous Detox: https://shopjoyoushealth.com/cookbooks/ Hope that helps!

  16. Thanks so much Joy! I have your second cookbook so I’ll take a look at those recipes. I just recently made your green monster smoothie from that cookbook. Yum!

  17. Magnesium (Mg) is a chemical element with the atomic number 12 and the symbol Mg. It’s a gleaming grey solid with many of the same physical and chemical properties as the other alkaline earth metals. The successive addition of three helium nuclei to a carbon nucleus produces this element in huge, aged stars.Do you know, magnesium ribbon should be cleaned before burning in air. But why?

  18. Thank you Joy for sharing this podcast. Dr Barb is so easy to listen to and so informative. I forward this to my daughter who is struggling right now and I think low magnesium could certainly be contributing. Thank you again. I will follow Dr Barb on Instagram.
