Sexy Nog Recipe (Vegan Egg Nog)

—  found in  Food  —

A joyous reader fave I revamped from 4 years ago!...

I've updated this recipe here: Please visit this new post for the recipe or click the photo below.

There's nothing sexy about "hypoallergenic-nog" now is there? Precisely the thinking behind naming my non-egg-non-dairy-non-refined-sugar-nog "SEXY NOG". Sure I could have called it Vegan-Nog but then I may inadvertently persuade all the non-vegans into thinking there is no reason they even need to read this post because how could it possibly be as good as the real thing. Ooooh but it is as good as the real thing minus the belly ache and gassy tummy - talk about zapping the sexy right out of the holidays, sheesh!

You have single-handedly just made my day. That sugar+colouring+"milk" junk in the carton wasn't gonna fly but it was always a childhood fave - thanks for the healthy alternative!

Hi Joy , I can't wait to try this recipe! I emailed you a few days ago about signing up for some sessions with you and to ask a more general question. Just flagging for you since sometimes my emails end up in recipients' junk folders. Anyway, thanks for such a wonderful blog - its one of my favorites!

Just made this eggnog and it's so delicious!! I'm going to make it for my family over the holidays for sure :) I was so hesitant looking at the ready-made eggnog, even in Whole Foods. One was made with soy milk and the other was organic milk...yours is a much better option! thanks Joy and an early Merry Christmas!

Your recipe sounds delicious - we're not big nog drinkers but I'm definitely going to give it a try! I recently tasted a homemade vegan nog (with cashew milk) and it left a lot to be desired... so I'm very hopeful for your recipe!
