I went grocery shopping today in Kensington Market dressed for the Arctic with my parka, boots and 10 layers of clothes on. It’s FREEZING in Toronto today, but at least the sun is shining the sky is blue. If you don’t have blue skies where you are, hopefully this video brings some cheer to your day!

It is SO easy to buy nutrient-dense tasty food and in this video I share what I bought today from 4 Life Natural Foods (please ignore the goofy thumbnail still – that was the best one available haha). EnJOY!

I love 4 life, and I love your healthy grocery stash! I have tried Kefir before and like it, but I’ve been trying to cut out dairy because it gives me stomach troubles. You say it’s good for digestion, do you think it would be worth a try?

I notice that people who are sensitive to dairy can often tolerate kefir because it is loaded with so much good bacteria which aids in digestion and enhances the immune system. In fact, the good bacteria in kefir can help the gut produce lactase and for some, better digest all dairy products. While I don’t suggest drinking milk or overdoing it on cheese, I certainly recommend kefir and organic yogurt as part of a healthy balanced diet.

    Hey Joy
Your video blogs are so awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t have any good organic grocery store nearby. Can you give me the name of some good online grocery stores(websites) where I could buy organic food like herbal teas, honey, coconut oil?

  4. Oh girl! I think I have found my new blog addiction. I LOVE your site. I follow you on twitter but this is my first time to your website. You are awesome and I’m going to take a sticky beak around!

  5. While everything you say sounds good and true, I’m a little put off by the fact that no where on your website do you tell readers about your specific schooling for nutrition. You only say you’re a certified holistic nutritionist and that you went to school part-time to learn about nutrition while you were working in marketing/advertising but don’t say where you went to school to gain that certification. What’s up with that?

  6. Wow, Joy thanks for telling me about your credentials; I’ve heard great things about IHN. I wasn’t trying to be snarky, but with so many people online giving health advice these days, it never hurts to ask those people what their educational background is. I really trust your advice and it says a lot that you are so upfront with your background! Thanks!
