I know I’ve got a yummy smoothie when Vienna says “ooooooh, YUMMY, YUMMY” and Walker says “mmmm, this is realllllly good”. And then in less than 5 minute they’ve both slurped it back! This was the case with this creamy raspberry smoothie. It was hard to get photo because Vienna kept sticking here finger in it.
This recipe is…
- Creamy, naturally sweet and could be a dessert too!
- Paleo and vegan if you use coconut yogurt
- Gluten-free
- Grain-free
- Kid-approved
- Packed with good fat and protein
Here’s my recipe for a smoothie that tastes like cheesecake but is good for you too!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
- 1/2 cup unsweetened plain yogurt (I prefer sheep or coconut yogurt)
- 1/4 cup raw cashews
- 1 scoop protein powder
- Optional for added sweetness: 1-2 medjool dates, remove pit
- Non-dairy milk to desired consistency
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into high power blender and blitz until smooth and creamy.

Sounds delicious. I’d love to make it for my grandchildren. However they can’t have cashews can I leave them out or is there another option?
Looks delicious! I don’t have cashews, unless I pick them out of my nut mixture…will almonds work, or do I need a softer nut?
For the creaminess, cashews are ideal. But if you use almonds, you could soak them first for about an hour or longer to soften them. You could also add half an avocado for a more creamy texture.
You could swap out the cashews for another nut like almonds if you like. Or simply omit it and add an avocado for creaminess. Enjoy!
I just made this and am enjoying it as I write. Delicious! I didn’t have any protein powder so used pure vanilla extract.
Sounds amazing! Glad you love it!
Can you recommend a brand of yogurt please.
I like Best Baa Farm which is sheep yogurt here in Ontario or Kefir Kult which is a much thinner consistency but it’s liquidy.
For someone that has a peanut and tree nut allergy what could I use to replace the cashews?
You could simply omit them and add some coconut manna or coconut butter for that creamy texture.
Thank you so much! This is perfect for the summer. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this website.
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
I remember spending so much money buying drugs from hospitals hoping that i will be cured from HERPES INFECTION, but all to no avail. I contacted so many doctors and they prescribed medicine for me which they indeed tried their best but was unable to provide for me a possible cure, luckily i got to know about a doctor who cured herpes with herbal medicine and i give it try and today am happy that i made that decision and its has now downed on me now that herbal medicine is the only solution to herpes and any other STDs/STIs and other health threatening related diseases/infections you can get your cure today from Dr Akhere Herbal Home call/whatsapp 2347085994115 or visit his website to know more about his products and get your cure (http://drakhereherbalhome.wixsite.com/website) online. just as i did .good luck to you all.

Hey Joy. What can I replace for cashews? Thanks
You could use some coconut cream to get the same creaminess or you could use raw walnuts or almonds but you won’t get the same creamy texture, unfortunately.
i made it and it was REALLY good. both my toddler boys loved it and even asked for it another day 🙂 I also made it for myself a few times already!
haha! So glad to hear that!

Can you recommend a protein powder brand (kids friendly) please?
What protien powder do you use?
I am so looking forward to having one of these! What protein powder does Joy use? There are so many it’s overwhelming. I do find I don’t feel satisfied when I drink smoothies. I’m not finding coconut yogurt at my grocery store. Wishing all a fantastic weekend.❤️
What kind of protein powder is a good one to use?
I have bad digestion and when I have smoothies I never feel satisfied?
Thank you Angela
My favourite protein powder is Manitoba Harvest.
